A new post-master’s degree in low-carbon construction
A new training to meet the challenges of decarbonization in the construction sector
Reducing the impact of new buildings on the climate by taking into account all of the building’s emissions over its life cycle, starting with construction, is an essential criterion for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
The use of construction principles that emit little greenhouse gas or allow for carbon storage, such as bio-based materials, requires new skills and construction processes, which will be developed through the synergy of ESTP Paris and ESB.
At the start of the 2022 academic year, the one-year post-master’s program “Low-carbon manager for construction projects” will train two classes in Nantes and Paris. The program is in the process of being certified as a specialized master’s degree by the Conférence des grandes écoles (CGE).
Training professionals to intervene in all phases of low-carbon construction
The objectives of the training are to train professionals to carry out their missions in all phases of a low-carbon construction project (housing, tertiary, equipment, logistics, mixed…), in new construction and rehabilitation.
They intervene at any level of the chain of a construction project: contracting authority and AMO, project management, architectural agency, design office, control office, construction company…
